About Allison
If you had asked me a handful of years ago if I could have seen myself writing online, I would have told you absolutely not. But that's exactly what God does, He takes our hard stories and writes them into something beautiful.
In 2018, I faced the unexpected and life-altering loss of my son, Solomon. In that moment it seemed as though my entire world had given way. But now looking back at this time of my life I can tell you with even greater assurance: God has used it.
Since then I've been writing online at my blog, This Side of Perfect, and it's been astounding to see how God has transformed the heartache I've walked through to be able to share with others the hope that I've found. It's such a beautiful illustration of the words of 2 Corinthians 1:4 where it says, "He comforts us every time we have trouble, so we can comfort others when they have trouble."
And this is my prayer for you, too, that you would leave our time together not only comforted, but also empowered, so you in turn can point others to the ultimate source of hope.
